Well we got some really good news.  Dr. Kim saw now "shadows" on the P.E.T. scan.  He wanted to schedule a follow up appointment in 6-months but Mr. Bill argued for a 3-month appt just to be safe.  SWEEEEET!

Well treatment five is a thing of the past and we're still hanging in there.

Here's a few facts that I found out and thought were interesting (full article can be found at Yahoo):

Well we had our 4th chemo treatment today.  Dr said the acne-like breakouts my friend has been experiencing is a good sign.  It means the chemo-meds are working.

We had our 3rd chemo treatment today.  Benadryl still making my friend hyper.  The doctors / nurses have cut back on the amount they give but it still makes them want to run a marathon.  Hopefully, the docs and nurses can figure something out.  They'll sleep most of the evening tonight.

I can't believe it's been so long.  Friend's cancer has spread from his jaw into both lungs.  So much for the doctor assuring us the jaw surgery "got it all".  Left lung had a chunk removed in November.  Learned it spread to the right lung in December.  Has had 2 chemo treatments so far.  We're keeping our fingers crossed he doesn't need radiation after the chemo is completed.

Well I've a friend go through Cancer related surgeries, started a new project at work, helped my God-daughter get off to college and well in general just been busy doing stuff for and taking care of everyone.  There's been little time for me.  Well, that's got to stop.  Starting now.

I can't believe it's been so long since I posted anything here.  A lot has been going on in my life since I posted last.  My friend is almost finished with their radiation and chemo treatments from their cancer surgery.  We've had 3 new additions to the family (1 in April; twins (b/g) in October).  New position at work.  Changes every where you turn!

I've discovered audiobooks.  I love listening to them while driving in the car to appointments and meeting for work.  No more "seeking" for radio stations.  So far this year I've listened to:

Nathanial Hawthorne - The Scarlet Letter
F. Scott Fitzgerald - The Curious Case of Benjamin Buttons
Patrick Redden - Fallout
Oscar Wilde - The Canterville Ghost
William Irving - The Spectre Bridegroom
E. Nesbit - Five Children and It

I've listed reviews of these six books as well as for other paperback / hardback books I've read so far this year at goodreads.com.

I can't believe I have another friend battling Cancer.  Hopefully this time there will be a better outcome.  I'm really sick and tired of losing people I care about to this crappy disease.

It has been ages since I posted a chapter to my story at SIYE.  It feels good to be back in the swing of things.  Writing is really helping with Lindsey leaving for college this week.
